FIRST RESPONDERS NIGHT!
It’s Memorial Day, Game Day and First Responders Night all in one – Busy day in Flocktown!
Tonight your Florence Flamingos are taking on the Lexington County Blowfish for the first time this season. The Flock is HOT, 2-0 to start off this new season. The team defeated the Macon Bacon last Thursday in a run-rule 13-3 victory, and came out victorious over the Wilson Tobs with a 10-9 walk off last Saturday.
The Blowfish are 1-1 so far, defeating the Macon Bacon on Friday but falling to the Asheboro Zookeepers on Saturday. The pink birds are looking to sink the blue fish in their first of 13 matchups.
There will be firetrucks, ambulances, cops and K9 units out at Carolina Bank Field tonight, in addition to on-field recognition of some of our very own Hometown Heroes. The Flock will be rocking some specialty jerseys as well. It features a police officer uniform honoring the Florence 7 on the front, and the back features a fire rescue uniform. This jersey is presented by Sam Carbis Solutions.
