Thad Parsons - Team Owner
Thad Parsons joins the Flock going into the 2024 season.
Parsons is a native of North Carolina, with a career background in the food and beverage
industry. He currently owns a beer and wine store in Arlington, VA, which he bought in 2017. He
has over 20 years of food and beverage experience, including five years in the United Kingdom,
while he was earning his Doctorate of Philosophy in Modern History from Oxford. His goal is to
take his knowledge and bring the Flamingos’ concessions to the next level.
Parsons currently resides outside of D.C. and plans to be a part of the Florence community as he
is able. He is excited to grow his business portfolio through a sports organization, and expanding
into a new territory.
“I can’t wait to see what the Flamingos will accomplish this season and beyond,” says Parsons.
“One thing for sure: The team, the staff, and the organization you love, is not going anywhere.
The fans will not notice any structural or operational changes.”
Mitchell Lister - Team President
Mitchell is entering his third season with the Flamingos serving as the team president. He has worked in Minor League Baseball for over a decade. He has spent time with the Lynchburg Hillcats, Hickory Crawdads, Staten Island Yankees (Go Yanks!) and the Carolina Mudcats before settling in Florence.
Mitchell graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management.
He and his wife Kayla have two daughters, Myla, and Berra. The Lister family loves the Florence community and enjoys calling South Carolina home.

Matt Downing - Director of Ticket Sales
Matt is entering his third season with the Flamingos working in the ticket department.
He previously worked for the Baltimore Ravens as a Training Camp Marketing Intern in 2019 and 2021, and oversaw box office and ticket package sales.
Matt graduated from Ohio University with a major in Communication and minors in both Marketing and Sports Administration.
A fun fact about Matt – his dad got pickpocketed while his family attended Super Bowl 47 (Go Ravens!).

Blake Bearden - Manager of Food and Beverage & Ballpark Operations
Blake is joining the Flamingos after completing an internship with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, working with their food and beverage department.
He recently graduated from Arkansas State University, and was born and raised in Hot Springs, Ar. Blake is new to the south, but is loving it so far!
He loves to hunt, fish and watch baseball.
