Now I know what you’re thinking….and no, this wasn’t a game of Saturday night football. The Florence Flamingos defeated the Lexington County Blowfish with a final score of 17-10.

The scoring started with eight (yes, 8!!!) runs being scored in the bottom of the first. The first four batters even batted twice in the half.

Kenny Jimenez hit a single, Dylan Robertson hit a double, Carson Garner hit a single, Ethan Krizen hit a single, Mason Staz was hit by a pitch, Riley Davis was walked and THEN Noah Stout hit a grand slam. Phew. That was a lot, can you keep up?

Ethan Plyler hit a single, Kenny Jimenez was walked, Dylan Robertson hit a single, and FINALLY the inning was over. 8-0 Flock.

The Fishies got one in both the second and third, followed by a four-run bottom of the fourth for the Mingos. Ready for it?

Mason Staz was walked, Ethan Harden hit a single, Riley Davis hit a single, Noah Stout hit a single, Ethan Plyler hit a single, Carson Garner was walked, Ethan Krizen was walked and that’s the end of the fourth. 12-2 pink birds.

Blowpops strike back with a four-run inning of their own, but how do we answer? Oh, with ANOTHER GRAND SLAM.

That’s right – not one but TWO grand slams in one game for the Flamingos.

Ethan Harden was walked, Riley Davis hit a single, Noah Stout was walked, and Ethan Plyler hit the grand slam.

Each team put up some more points, but the Blowfish could never catch up, making the final score of this baseball game 17-10.

The Flock is Hot. That’s all we have to say. Next up – Double header IN Lexington County on Monday. Next home game – WEDNESDAY also versus the Blowfish.
